I would love to try the Dr, Jart Silver Label Rejuvinating Blemish Base, because I’ve read that it gives the fullest coverage among all the Dr. Jart bb creams. And if you’ve read my previous posts on the recent break-out I went through, you’ll know that good coverage is a must for me these days.

Toy Story 3 = LOVE!!!! ♥♥♥

Yesterday, the hubby, Cupcake and I watched Toy Story 3! It was Cupcake’s second time watching a movie at the cinema. (her first was Ice Age 3)…

This movie was AWESOME!! I laughed so hard, and got all teary-eyed at some parts too (ok, ok, I was more than just teary-eyed. haha). They couldn’t have thought of a more perfect plot for the movie. For an animated film, this one was dang full of HEART. Dare I say there were more “aaaawww” moments than there were in Up. Although Up had me in tears like a freakin baby, TS3 is hands down THE BEST animated movie I’ve ever seen.

The hubby and I are still talking about it like a bunch of excited little kids. Yes, we liked it THAT much. We liked it so much we spent the afternoon Googling trivia and video clips. (i know, we’re dorky like that) Here are some fun stuff we found out:

Andy has a poster of an Omnidroid in his room. (from The Incredibles)
When Buzz is being fixed after he is reprogrammed to be evil, the batteries he uses are BnL batteries (from WALL•E).
On Andy's bulletin board there is a postcard from Carl and Ellie. (from the movie Up )
At the daycare center, Mr. Ray the Scientific Stingray from "Finding Nemo" makes a cameo.
Sid, the violent teenager from Toy Story, makes a cameo appearance as an adult at the beginning and end of the film. He is the garbage man who is wearing Sid's signature skull t-shirt and is listening to heavy metal.
A poster on Andy's wall shows a character from the upcoming movie "Cars 2". It shows Finn McMissile, a British sports car/secret agent who plays a major role in the sequel.
Nemo himself appears as a sticker on Andy's old toybox.
Ken wears 21 different outfits in the movie.
The A113 logo thats pops up in most of the Pixar films makes an appearance on a license plate on the back of Andy's Mom's car. A113 is a reference to the room at CalArts in which the Pixar Animators studied.
Lee Unkrich and the animation team agreed to shave their heads before working on the film.
In Andy's room, there is a pennant for "PU." Pixar has a school for their employees to learn more about filmmaking called Pixar University - PU.
Director Lee Unkrich voiced the Jack in the Box that yells "New toys!" to Andy's toys when they arrive at Sunnyside.

What can i say, PIXAR is the shiznit. They totally revive all my childhood dreams of becoming an animator.

Oh, and I sooo want a Lots-O-Huggin’ Bear!

Cupcake seems to want one too. She saw this pic of it in the box and told me “Open!!”

These bears sell for $49.99!!! Helloooo? That’s one hell of an expensive bear. (yeah, but its purple AND it smells like strawberries)

Anyways, TS3 definitely makes it to my all time favorite movies list. I don’t think even Eclipse will snap me out of this recent obsession. LOL

This was taken the day my Cupcake was born! Every time I see it, I am reminded of how lucky I am to have been blessed with such a beautiful little girl. The day Nikka was born was the day I became complete. ♥♥♥

My Papa…♥

We used to never get along. But now that I’m older, I’ve realized that some of the best and most valuable lessons I’ve learned in life, I learned from my Papa. Things like the value of honesty and integrity, and that “if you’re going to do something, do it right, or don’t do it at all.”

My papa is a passionate artist, devoted professor, and the best dad and grandpa anyone could hope for. No words can say how proud I am to be his daughter.

Mikado with the Hubby

I have so many fun memories from way back in the 90’s of Sunday lunch at Mikado with my cousins and grandparents. But since so many new Japanese restaurants opened in Cebu, we all sorta forgot about Mikado. It’s probably been 15 years since the last time I ate there. Since then, the restaurant has changed it’s location and branding. I recently found out from a friend that they serve an all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet for only PhP350! And since the hubby LOVES Jap food, we decided to try it out.

They serve a lot of other food too, like tempura, noodles, and some pork and beef dishes. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. For PhP350, the food wasn’t bad at all!

Review: MyLipStuff

If you know me, you’ll know how addicted I am to lip products. So imagine how crazy i went when I went on the MyLipStuff website and found that they make over 500 flavors of their lip balm! 500 FLAVORS! Are you kidding me!? And I went even crazier when I read through the list of yummy yummy flavors!

I was lucky enough to be sent 3 lip balms to review:

Vanilla Caramel -- smells exactly like what it’s supposed to – vanilla and caramel. warm, sexy, and sweet!
After Dinner Mint ”Just like those little pastel pillow mints you find at restaurants!” – i love love love anything minty, so i was really excited to try this out. I kinda wish the mint flavor in it was a bit stronger though.
Raspberry Lemonade “Sweet Raspberries and tart Lemonade make this one perfect! Stevia sweetened.”– this one is my favorite of the three!! the smell reminds me of yellow gummy bears, and i loooove gummy bears.

PROS:

TEXTURE:

It’s just how I like my lip balm. It’s not waxy like how most lip balms are. (even Carmex has a bit of a waxy smell and feel)
Feels smooth and silky on the lips, glides on like butter.
It’s not thick and gross like petroleum jelly.

COLOR:

It’s clear, which I like.

SMELL and TASTE:

For obvious reasons! And with over 500 flavors to choose from, you’re sure to find a flavor that you’ll love. These lip balms taste just as they smell, I had to stop my self from eating it off my lips every time.

…and most importantly, it cares for my lips the way a lip balm should. My lips stayed soft and smooth all day, not once did they get chapped or flaky! I put it on at night, and woke up to happy lips! Dare I say that this will be replacing my trusty Carmex on my bedside table, and in my makeup kit!

CONS:

The only con I found was the PACKAGING. I think they can do so much better with the sticker labels. But ah, what the heck. I think these lip balms are great, nevertheless.

OVERALL:

I am addicted! And I am looking forward to trying out more of the flavors soon!
